I attended this 2005 match in Orlando. Your excellent question is answered at the 09 seconds point of this video when you'll hear the ref say "You must call every ball" which as every seasoned player knows, translates to every -- not obvious -- shot *_and the specific intended pocket_* All of which conveys the fact that this tournament's rules-set (without the ref having to say it) *automatically precludes an instant win if the shooter pots/pockets the 8-ball on the break*
